It has been a busy summer so far. I’ll start with some pictures…Sam started swim lessons. She is doing very well and is not intimidated much by the water.

Jadyn has learned to ham it up for the camera…. Jadyn and Sam had their first pictures taken together by our photographer friend, Amy. She took Jadyn’s newborn pictures at the hospital and is our neighbor’s sister so it was a no brainer to call her for new pictures. She does great work and is very personable. What is up next? Well, kindergarten starts in just a little over a month and we have lots going on until then. Samantha is headed to an allergist to be tested next week. The hives from the amoxicillin, reaction to dyes and her swelling from facial mosquitoes bites has me concerned enough to have her checked out. I was told that the testing is not as cumbersome as it was in the past so I am anxious to see how the visit goes. She will also head to the dentist in the next few weeks and we have to get her glasses before school starts. Uncle Alan is coming for a visit with Linda in August, just two weeks before a family camping trip and then the start of class. Let the tears begin...
Jadyn will have his 9 month check up at the beginning of August. Wow how time flies. He is sitting up well without support and really likes to grab anything in his path now. He especially loves to grab and pull anything on peoples faces. He especially likes pulling on your lips. He is waving and says dada pretty consistently. Every once in a while, he says mama too! He is very active, but hasn’t tried to pull himself up or crawl. He is perfectly content simply reaching as far as possible until he tips over. I have a strange feeling he will simply get up one day and start running…lol. He is loving food, especially his veggies and cereal. Fruits get great yuck faces, but I know he will come around. He has even started on some finger foods (mostly just baby pinwheels and snacks that really just dissolve on contact). He is doing great!
