Summer Continued!

Jadyn just loves the mirror. When he is fussy, the mirror just mesmerizes him and he immediately calms down!
He really wants to touch that cute baby that keeps looking at him and copying his every move!

Uncle Alan came for a visit. He is getting use to this baby thing! We don't have one picture of him holding Samantha when she was a baby.

Although Uncle Alan and Jadyn both look a little scared in this one! As always, Sam is cool as a cucumber.

Here is Uncle Alan and his fiance Linda letting Jadyn relax on their laps before bedtime!

Part of the Visit was dedicated to a little pampering, not the ladies, but the men. Alan dyed his hair brown and Bruce shaved his head bald. Here is a before picture.
And now the after!

Alan, looks much younger don't you think? Bruce, well, I didn't like it so much! Needless to say, he will be growing his hair back. Love it short, but not bald. Doesn't really matter, this picture was taken only 7 days ago and his hair is right back where I like it. Was worth Alan dying his hair. Hope he keeps it up. I think he has lost 10 years.

The dog days of summer meant a trip to the zoo! Not even a kangaroo could keep these two in one place!
Here is Sam hiding in a rock!

My little animal love to have their pictures taken!

I often wonder if Sam has her head in the toilet at times. See for yourself! I guess I know the truth now!

Look how tall we are...Wow, well over half way to Michael Jordan!

Dinosaurs Alive was cool. Here is Sam next to a dinosaur egg!

She even tried to intimidate a dinosaur!
It was so hot, the Lions couldn't even move!

Jadyn had the best seat in the house! He even got a nap!

Last stop of the day, the carousel for a ride on a zebra!
Another trip to the pool gave me a couple more good photos! Jadyn loves standing in the water with Auntie Cheri!

Once again, Ethan is looking relaxed at pool side!
And Kyle, was just Kyle!
School days are just around the corner. Kindergarten preview night was last week. Here is Sam outside her classroom. She is in the red wing, which is one of four kindergarten wings joined by a multipurpose room. Their are 12 classes of kindergartners at Southbury, which is the location for the districts pilot program.
We couldn't go in her classroom, but I got a good picture from the door. Her teacher's name is Ms. Melissa Husted. We visited the music room, art room, gym and the library. We even met one of her classmates, who just happen to live in our neighborhood and will be attending the same home school as Sam next year.
She looks so small outside the entrance to the school!

And I had to be a total geek and take a picture of her near the marquee too! She was ready to go at that point, but finally gave in just for me!
And finally, the big reveal..the new glasses!

She looks so studious and is so excited. She said, "mommy, if I break them you will just get me another pair right?" I said yes, but they were expensive and she had to be really careful with them. She seemed to understand, but all I could see in my head was a smashed pair of glasses. Wonder how long we have til we are back for another pair? Anyone want to wager?
